First off witch vehicle pricing guide do you use? I know there a few of them, but one day I was trying to think of one and the one I remember was N.A.D.A. from when I was a kid and my father was pricing cars before buying them. After checking a couple different site there was a huge difference in pricing of are cars between nada and all the rest. Nada has been around before I can remember, witch site do you consider to be more right on with pricing?

NADA is usually good on the money most times for classics.
However.. Your talking about a car with one of the greatest cult-followings in history. E30s are getting tothe point where there isn't even a street value for them and the value is determined by the Enthusiast community. E30s were once plentiful in unmolested, untarnished, and immaculate condition, but as more and more enthusiasts pick up the good examples, and the bad ones are left to die, the market price rises as the only e30s worth buying are being sold by people who know what the car is worth. Good deals are still out there, but they are now few and far between..
A decent "e" could be anywhere from 1-2k
A good "i" could range from 2-4k
A good "is" could range from 3-5k
Its all dependent on the mods and condition of the car. You might however find someone who doesn't know what they have and easily swoope an "is" for well under a grand or two.
Regardless, if your new a need a feeler around the market; NADA is pretty good. It was about 2.9k 6 months ago and I checked not to long ago and it rose to 3.2k IIRC... once you own an e30 yourself, you'll quicky learn the value of a good car vs a bad car and be able to distinguish a good deal from a bad oneComment

I keep saying this over and over again. A car is worth what one is willing to pay for it and what the seller is willing to accept for it.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

So lowball the hell out of them until they accept something? While that's absolutely true, you have to have a baseline. Some owners think their cars are worth much more than they are, and just because they won't accept 2k for a beat m10 e30 doesn't mean it's worth 4 grant. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

KBB and other book guides are fucking trolls when it comes to these cars. You just have to go by the market-- what are other same cars (model mileage etc) in the same condition going for?
I personally think at least half the E30's out there are way overpriced, but I guess that doesn't matter. If someone is willing to pay that, whatever.
