    Evergreen Drift

I've noticed more and more bmws lately at events and figured i would post up a semi-official place for introductions, discussion, and media from events.

    this is mine

    with this in it

You'll usually find me pitted with or pitting for these guys

      cool shots...
and i want to go for a ride in yours next time i see it....i really like what i see ...

      earlier this year...

      erics car

      he did really well

luis's car, m50 swap, tore up the track that day, and showed me a lot

dannys car, (not an e30, but he has one...and is almost done) i was able to ride with him, and watch him hit a few high speed drifts, and a few slow ones too...really fun.
notice the mark on the door, its cone print....yerp, this is what a cone does at 50mph sideways

andrews car...(notice that both andrews and dannys cars have interchangable color parts....?

      and another bmw.

      squirrel !

kelly thorpes car.. going all out with a v8 this year...this is how it used to look..don't know any longer..have been WAY too busy

      some more of the unbalanced

this last (not mine) is one of my favorite shots...

this is the only day they (Kelly) allowed a *(my) cabrio on the track w/out a rollbar....thanks Kelly...the cabrio did much better then my red car..but just wait...im still working on red.

      BLUE is behind the z...

heres RED (my dedicated track car now)...as it was back then

but evergreen (with its new walls) is pretty trecherous.
every time ive gone, 30-40 cars start out, and only 25-30 can drive home...but it sure is fun.

hit me up when your going next, i will try to make it out there too...

Made it out sun but didnt get any runs in do to heat soak in the coil. Engine temps are fine but ambient temps cook everything around the engine when ive got to wait in line like that. Even pulled the hood but it didnt help. Was a shame too because with the 4.10 and newly worked carb it was ready to slide.

I'm not trying to troll or come off like a dick but why is this such a popular motor choice? Seems like for the same amount of money you could be into a larger displacement, physically smaller/lighter v8 with much more power out of the box, along with stone cold reliability.

Dont quote me on this but he thought formula d was going to come out with a matching manufacture rule in the next few years. Not gonna be the case but its not my car so whatever i cant say anything im running a carbed sbf. In my case after the aluminum intake, wp and hopefully heads itll weigh about the same and sit farther back so weight and weight disbribution arent really an issue. Couldnt tell you how much of a dif the 1uz makes in the 86 tho.

                          correct...
ive been working late all week and turning wrenches all weekends, and going to trips that consume too much time...i need to re-stance red prior to going back up there...but every day, i spend at least an hour on it.
