    Griot's garage sale

Tomorrow morning (Saturday the 15th) is the annual Griots Scratch 'n Dent sale, all the customer returns over the past year get sold at discounts.

    Really good deals..

I'll be looking for some LISTA cabinets and low profile jacks.

Officially the doors open at 8, but I've heard be there no later than 7 because a line has formed by then. I plan on leaving Seattle by 5:30 because that's when I normally leave for work.

It was nuts this morning. There was a guy who showed up at 2:30am to be first in line!! Lots of good deals on stuff though (most all of it was gone within 15 minutes of the doors opening. I got there around 6:45 and was about 30 people back in line.

                    Trip report:

I got there at 6:00 am and was #10 in line. Griots had coffee and donuts out by then and had the doors unlocked if you wanted to use the bathroom.

By 7:00 am there was about 50 in line and by 8:00 am the line was around the building with 150+

Waiting in the morning was like a car Woodstock.

So, like Henna30 said, by 8:15 it was mostly over. There were a few of the nice floor jacks that were gone immediately. Here's what I got:

100' industrial quality water hose. There was a pile but they were largely ignored. Retails for $99 and I got it for $30.

Griot's finest hose nozze. Expensive at $89 but they had a pile of them for $35. I got 2.

Griot's "nicest wash bucket you'll ever enjoy" . Expensive at $44.99 but they had a million of them for $10.. I got one.

Epoxy floor paint. Griots has a great supplier on this. They retail at $65 per gallon which is already a good price considering the quality. I got two gallons at $20 each and saved myself $90 on that item alone.
                    That's it.

They also had an entire pallet full of polishers. Lots of car covers. I also saw the portable air compressors, pneumatic hose reals, ionic water filters.
