"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process." - my friend, Número Veintiséis
It's ridiculous how much money I have into my car...and it is NOWHERE near done at all, probably will take another $12k just to get it to where I will be satisfied...and even then, probably won't be completely happy with it. Such is life.
This sucks, but its definitely true where I live. A group of kids riced out a bunch of old VW's, gti's, jetta's, etc. They all sold them and got e30's. There's about 8 of 'em and all they do is lower them, put roof racks on, and add annoying retarted ricer exhaust.

I don't bother to add it up anymore. too scary :\
the priceless part, though, is getting to hang out with my dad (63) and grandfather (83) and all of us Germans doing this engine swap! Grandpa doing body work, dad welding, me wrenching--shit tons of fun. Didn't get to spend any time with them growing up (I'm 37) for a lot of reasons good and bad.
now I can tell my kids when I pass my e30 down that there's a lot of family history in the rebuild.
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!
