You know what's rarer than a clean old BMW that's mostly been owned by people with the money and means to keep it maintained? A clean old VW that's been owned by some owner-maintained, blue collar joe. Clean Mk1s are worth more than clean e30s because they are rarer since they've always been cheap, owned by people with less money, and more likely had several younger, more irresponsible owners.

With that, good luck with the sale. I hope you get every penny. And if you're interested in trading for a Baur project... ;)

Thanks man, these kids have no idea!

No more cars at this point, gotta get rid of a FEW and finish a FEW before taking on anything else.

Wut.. worth more is this why it is still for sale and a clean E30 for the same price would be gone in a day.

An E30 is an obvious practical choice for anyone lets be honest. Comparisons can't really be made when it comes to the market because both cars can be considered 'special interest' at this point in time. There's a following for both but admittedly the MK1 VW crowd is smaller and not such a broad range of people. Either way nothing really seems to be moving as I've noticed, blame it on the economy, holidays or anything else but with time someone will want to buy it. The interest IS there it just seems that people are pretty much only willing to trade for something else, I just want to trade it for cash. When I had me E30 it took 7 months to sell it, just takes the right person to come along who's serious enough about looking at cars to actually buy one. Until then I'll keep rotating it as a daily in the 'fleet' in hopes that that person sees it.

                  SOLD

apparently a bidding war between 2 people brings the price to $4,200.

                  suck on that nerds
