That's a great deal for what looks to be a very clean e46! Wish I had the money right now, GLWS.

Exactly. CELs are not caused by aftermarket intakes.

Related to the intake, is your MAF plugged in and working properly? Are the intake boots (upper or lower) torn? Very common issue and an easy/inexpensive fix.

Its a bank 1 and bank 2 lean condition. When i got the car i went through all the vacuum lines and oil separator, smoked it and found nothing. I also found several other people on e46fanatics that experienced the same thing after installing the intake.
It sounds weird but it does happen, i worked at a dealer where a tundra came in with an aftermarket intake and a lean code, checked everything and it wasnt until the stock air box was put back on that we fixed it.
There are no other symptoms so i left it alone.
Oh and yeah maf is good and intake boots were replaced recently.

I want to sell it to get a clean e30 to drop an m5x in and eventually turbo, if yours matches the desc i'll consider it but i already got my eyes on one and i would want a $6000 trade value

i was going to switch out the wheels but theyre not something you see everyday and theyre super light weight, i gues they kinda grew on me lol

That is really odd about the Tundra after the air box was put on. Perhaps something wasn't connected right with the aftermarket intake?

I just don't see how that is possible on the E46 or Tundra, when all the air going into the MAF, whether it's a cold air intake or a stock air box, is the same volume. Leaks after the MAF I can see causing the lean issue.

Do you have the factory air box you can put back on? This would at least eliminate the question for the buyer :)

Yeah everything was set up right so I have no clue what or why lol. my guess is the cone or piping can cause some kind of airflow disturbance that fools the MAF???
