    m50 swap parts needed!

So i just recently picked up my m50 vanos to do my m50 swap and i turn 16 in two months. my main goal is to have this thing purring by that time to have a bitchen e30! im pretty new to the swap so all advice will be taken! currently i know i need:

    525i e34 oil pan

    e28 535i engine mounts

    525i oil pick up/dipstick/dipstick tube

    looking for a 4.10 lsd

I have the wiring harness, tranny, e36 clutch and most importantly the car! let me know if you got parts up for sale! thanks.

What tranny are you planning to use? if its an e36 tranny then get a 3.25 or 2.93 lsd, if you use a 4.10 with an e36 tranny your rpms will be like 5.5k going 70. Get new engine mounts and look around on forums for the oil pan, dipstick, pickup tube, You can find it for around $200 shipped. What are you planning to do with the brake booster, replace it with the ix one or move it over to clear the intake manifold? http://ww.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76315

Welcome! Plenty of 24v guru's in PNW

I'd recommend getting new motor mounts, AKG over E28 if you can afford it.

While I agree, the AKG are polyurethane and carry a lot of vibrations. Would be kind of annoying after a while, especially if the car is your daily driver.

I have the E28 in both my 24v cars and they're just fine.

You've road in my car, I dd it hard all the time (who hits redline in every gear? I DO) and have no complaints about the AKG's causing vibration, I'd have run E28 mounts too if I had not removed these from Ratto's 24v with 20k miles

Surrrre it could be related to the fact the car flipped but I am no the only one who has seen them fail. If you can afford 200 for motor mounts get the AKG's they are engineered for this application, if you are just tryin to get by get the E28s but IMHO I am not a fan of putting the motor mount bolt through the alignment hole.

Btw I bought the dipstick/tube brand new from blunttech for ~60 dollars shipped.
