Yeah man, some chick from the country comes and picks up pallets from my shop that she uses for fire wood. For the pallets she gives me some white lighting. And we met on Craigslist.

The key with Craig's list is bartering.

Did 2 full details for a gaming rig last year, no complaints.

Purchased a few sets of wheels and an engine or two, no problems.

Now selling on the other hand.... I've been trying to sell a gs750 project bike for a while now, lots of questions but no serious buyers.

^ Did you get in contact with Craigslist? Police should be able to track down the d bag with that amount of info.

Inbox me his number. I can look up everything he's selling and I can try and get a meet going with him.
The sad truth is though, you can't legally get your money back from him. Only if you like hunt him down and beat his ass for it haha

I had a AC plug with me to test it but figured i was in a hurry, dude seemed legit and told me it worked awesome so i just took it and left. Come home, turn it on, blank white screen. UGH. Pretty pissed. Dude turned his phone off then later told me hed transfer money to my paypal in a few days after my million texts and calls. So frustrating that there are such stupid people out there. What do you do in this situation? he has a number of other things posted so i was almost thinking of pretending to be a buyer from my wifes phone and meeting him with the imac in my hands but at the same time i dont want any trouble. Imac might be fixable but still.....Who else has gotten screwed?
That's an idiot move, buying a used electronic item on CL from an unknown person without testing the item at all.

I've probably done at least $1000+ CL deals in the past 5 years or so. I've gotten tons of incredible deals, both buying and selling, but it's really dropped off bad in the last two years or so. I have great luck with buying, but can't sell a fucking thing, as of late.

I haven't gotten burned ever, but I did have a sketch deal, this one time. Went with my friend to go sell his Audi A6 a couple summers ago. We met the guy off Barbur Blvd, kinda near PCC. I thought it was a little strange, the guy was going to pay full price for this piece of shit and he wanted to meet at 8:30 at night. I'd been having a lot of good luck recently, and so did he, so we said "fuck it", and headed down there. His Dad was following us and always carries a gun with him for any sort of deal he does.

Meet the guy, he asks to test drive the car without us in the car, we LOL and say "not gonna happen, but we'll go with you." He obliged, so we took a picture of his license (just because) and started off down the road. Everything is going good, but the guy is just super suspicious to me. We get back to the convenience store and he asks to take the car for the night. We say "no thanks" and he agrees to meet us in the AM, since he didn't have a chance to get to the bank. We get home, and my friend calls his grandma (who works for the sheriff's office) and gives her his license number, just because he felt really weird about the whole thing. Turns out, the license was a poorly copied fake and none of the information matched what he gave us. She ran his picture through her database and found his real name. Turns out, he was an escaped convict from Chicago with a very violent background and was known to conceal any kind of weapon he could get his hands on...

When she read that off to us, our hearts dropped. Pretty close call on that one...
