There were a lot of sign ups today! We're getting pretty excited about the first track day of the year!
We'll be there with 2 e30's. See you there!

If you havent gotten your tech sheet yet,We accept PCA tech forms but they dont accept ours.It will save you a few bucks if you want to run both clubs events.

And which group is that? And do the group letters mean anything on a consistent basis? i.e. is D group always the noob group?

Personally,I dont care which group I'm in.I've never asked to be in any particular group.
I'll be in B with my racecar, car #67.I'm hoping for good weather but if not then I'll just sit it out.I will enjoy the day either way.

Yes, D group is for novice drivers OR people that have not driven with us before,The CDI wants to be sure that folks that we dont know have the skills to run with us safely.

Well that would be a bummer. So you're the no-year 325i. Can I now safely assume it's an E30? PRO3 maybe even?

Completely understandable. I'm all for having an instructor riding along as long as they can teach me something I didn't know before :)
Since this will be my first time at PA, I'm betting they can teach me things for a long time to come.

I always gain something from our instructors, even when I dont think that I am learning anything.
This is my EIP car,we bought it last summer,I hope to run the conference novice program next year, this year is just HPDE/track days and getting it all sorted out.

You could always rent someone's car to do the Novice program this year. Hit the race at Pacific and the double at ORP, and BAM - you are an Area driver. Nice thing is, you could get your Novice out of the way this year, then make a run in EIP next season. If you are a Novice next to start, you will lose at least 3 races (in case you care about points.)

I'll be there helping with the Car Control Clinic.

The E30 can be the perfect track car. Passing tech is no big deal, it's all stuff an enthusiast will keep up with on their car already.

Make a point of coming out to one of these this summer, and learn a lot about car control!

As much as I want to be out there racing,I also know how much time and $$ it takes to do it.
My wife and I have decided to keep it enjoyable and fun,we have both been part of different racing teams before and going racing at the expense of everything else isnt how we want to live anymore.;)

If anyone feels like coming out tomorrow, feel free to stop in at our trailer and say hi and get out of the rain, and check out what its all about.
