    hate windows 8

    so not quite e30 related, except my new computer with windows 8 keeps kicking me off the this and other forums, and for the past half hour Ive been trying to post some parts for sale, if this loads up, ill be amazed
    and it does not play dvd's ( windows 8 is not set up to play dvd's, windows says dvd's are not important anymore)
    seems to not work well with google
    and keeps kicking me out of my pay pal account

    think Ill look into setting up a partition and installing windows 7 or linux

          Browser issue not OS, and of course it can play DVD's it has Windows Media Center Edition built in. Not a fan of the new player though. VLC ftw

                          I actually like Windows 8, once you get use to it. Does your PC not allow a straight install? I know some have prevented or at least attempt to prevent you from down-grading.

                              Try Installing/reinstalling google chrome, much better then IE.

                                  Chrome finally got things worked out for Windows 8. Works pretty well.

                                      Why is everyone having problems with Windows 8? It's even on the news as being the cause of lack of PC sales? Honestly I've never had an issue since I started using it like 5 months ago. Everything's worked smooth, idk maybe I R bauss?

                                          because stupid people who are used to windows7/vista (basically the same layout just 7 is better) freak out when there is a new interface introduced, and instead of blaming their stupidity and inability to learn they call out that its a broken OS, when in reality its perfectly fine.

                                                  win8 is crap. i've been testing it at my job, back in alpha and all the way through beta and it will always be a crap OS, just like Vista and ME and 95. back grade to Win7 64 and you will be far better off.
