Engine Swap Help Wanted - Sunday 6/23

Hey PNW R3V'rs - I planning on starting an engine swap early Sunday (10ish) in Lynnwood. My garage has a compressor and I have a cherry picker on site.

The new engine is just languishing on the stand waiting to potentially make the picnic. I'm wondering if anyone would be around to give me a hand (not freedombux, Joel).

Let me know - I can provide pizza, something to drink, and lots of laughs given that I have never pulled an engine before.

PM will be the best way to get a hold of me or post up here if you are available.

    Thanks,

    Gerta (Kevin)

I just swapped out a m42 so I'm fairly versed in what needs to be done. I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to make it, but put me down for a maybe!

Swapping out the leaky 254k+ M42 with a completely overhauled M42 ... complete with a lightened and balanced M42 Non-AC flywheel.

So what kind of tools do you have my friend? Air is nice, but I find I like to use hand tools as i'm always paranoid these 20+ year old fasteners can't take the abuse. Nothing worse than a stripped/rounded off fastener.

Wobbly Extensions (Lots of them) are your friend for removing/installing the transmission. Just learned that last night, made an easy job out of what is usually a waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing pain. Engine Leveler?

I might stop by for a couple of hours. Engine swaps are fun times.
