so when are you going to finish this thing?? I have given up on a timeline of any sort with my cars. At this point, Im going to live my life and when the cars decide to join me, it will be that much better

@simon - Well, I've had to realize that I don't have the time I need right now to prioritize E30 ahead of family, job, school, etc ... The good news is the engine is in and the other pieces of the puzzle - driveline/CSB, hooking up the alternator, etc ... is all things that can be bit off in smaller chunks. Being that this was my first ever engine swap having the Lynnwood locals (and Paolo) to help sped things up immensely. I'm proud to say though that the major mechanical work was done by me on the engine.

Swapped my m42 in a 1991 318i and having to pull the engine and tranny again. Throw out bearing not functioning and the starter motor not engaging the flywheel. Ouch!!
Ready to pull the engine again and check the internals in the tranny housing. And bench test to make sure the flywheel engages the starter motor. Hard job for a 74 yr old but not giving up.
