    WTT/WTS 1988 E30 325iX 5spd Alpine white

From all the research I've done recently, I feel its pretty safe to say this E30 of mine is fairly rare. It's hard to find a clean e30 these days let alone an exclusive model like a coupe iX. For those who aren't sure what a 325 iX is, it is the solution to any inclement weather and road conditions; the first AWD BMW to hit the North American market. Actually 1988 was the first year North America received these wonderful versions of the classic e30 platform and the only year of its short 3-4 year limited production to come stock with all of the later(1989-91') 325iX car's special options. To name a few of the exclusive feature my 1988 325iX has, I'll start with the obvious fender flares and side skirts only these cars came with, the 'push-out' rear windows few e30's I've seen utilize. The interior is in decent shape with only minor bolster damage to the drivers seat---full black sports leather interior and heated front sports seats, plus the m-tech steering wheel and exclusive rear veiw mirror w/map lights. This car handles amazingly and is in sturdy shape for 25years old. I am not sure if I found the correct numbers for this year of production but one forum i read suggested only 56 of maybe about 1200 325ix cars made for 1988 came in 2 door with manual transmission. That would make this car w/ the condition it's in(all original mileage/paperwork since 1992) a gem amongst other e30 BMWs. 1988 was a great year for production and ushered in many updates and facelifts to the BMW fleet.

With that said, I'm coming to this forum to see if anyone is interested in this amazing machine. I love it and will likely keep it if I don't receive the right offer, but my current life situation is forcing me to make some financial changes and I am considering trading for a RWD e30 preferably a 325is model/other European vehicles may be considered and/or a reasonable cash offer. I bought this car for $6500 from a kid in Ruston less than a year ago with 199k original miles, and I don't expect to get everything back but I probably won't flinch for anything less than $4500. The drivetrain and axles have all had recent servicing and belts have been changed. If there is any interest for pictures or information regarding this car please call or text me at 253 202 0927 or email mk4euro12v@gmail.com as I don't frequent this website too often. I love this at but I need RWD in my life and something a little easier to maintain, I'd love to find a clean and good running/lower mileage 325is because I love the e30 look but I'll entertain other cars or cash offers from serious inquirers. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to post pictures but they are readily available upon request. No low ballers please and thank you

This is ironic because I am selling a very similar car except mine is an 89 and doesn't have the sports interior. Good Luck with the sale.

More pictures, less "This is the holy grail of all E30's" preach.

AFAIK, all 88 iX's were coupes fitted with 5spds' and had all the options. They didn't offer them any other way. All 88 iX's i've seen have pop out rear windows because they're early coupes. Either way sounds like a well maintained car. Good luck getting what you're asking for it! Pictures will help ALOT, as will correct facts on the car!

Yeah, I thought that was awkward. This is after all an E30 forum, we've all already drank the Koolaid. Choir preaching not needed.

I'm guessing it was a cut and paste from a CL ad.

Maybe do some research homie like I did. And read. I have no problem sending pictures but I don't have a desktop this sight won't let me up load. Most 1988 iX were 4 doors and of the ones that were 2 doors, only so many came manual as autos were more abundant. It's not like YOU sir... Have seen every e30 ever made so do research before u discredit my posts. Just putting that out there because I certainly know what I have. And if anyone cared to read anything I had to say and held serious interest in my car they would've just contacted me like I surely pointed out in my post. Pictures upon contact or pm me with concerns.

With paolo on most 88s were coupes with 5spds. Every 88 I've seen has been so.

They did make an '88 4 door iX. They are very hard to come by. LuckyHenriksen had one and we concluded that it was a Canadian import car as all US '88s were 2 door, 5-speed.

I suppose the info I read was suggesting the number of North American 325ix's. that would therefore include Canada so... I ask all you who seem to know these cars better than I do... How many 1988 325ix cars were brought to the us. I can guarantee far less than any other model. And just an era fact for
You all, did you know that a 325ix went for $33k (more than E30 M3's back then)
I suppose everyone has an opinion but numbers are what really count. Production sheets are the only real record of how rare coupe iX's can be considered. Guaranteed if I posted a tread on swapping this bitch to RWD I would've had a lot more haters. I'm only interested in possible trades/selling this car. Point taken; I shall post this in the right section as to not irritate anyone who is a Far more experienced and frequent user of this site. I suck with computer opporations and suck even more since all I have is my phone to use. Thanks for the support and sorry if anyone got there panties in a

Okay so I found the reference on bimmerforums where someone got a response from BMW about 325ix production numbers for the US only. Around 56 of the 1100 or so 2 door 325iX's came as manual and far less 4 doors were produced for America in 1988---something like a few hundred total 4doors of which the majority was there again automatic. The production numbers drop significantly each year till 1991 where a mere 3 total were bought to America and again, automatics out populated the 325ix. Manual is definitely harder (maybe not RARE) to find over all the years, though 1988 had the most 325ixs produced-- roughly 60 2 doors came with manual. One has to remember about supply and demand and how that could drastically affect the options added, production numbers and sells of a model in a series. Obviously the consumer drawn to a debute awd bimmer back in the day were also fans automatic driving

Nobody is butthurt or irritated here. It's kinda cool to see another '88 4 door around here, as, like you said, they are pretty uncommon. Hopefully it goes to a deserving home. GLWS

If I was a mod I'd give you dickheads timeouts for shitting in a FS thread, and then ban the OP for failing to produce photographs and a specific asking price for this piece of shit.
