Hey guys, so im pretty sure its my rear seal carrier thats leaking. Not 100 percent tho.. but any tips on doing it? i will move the seal to a different location on the carrier and will use gasket maker on the seal carrier gasket. Any other tips??

Be sure to use the tool and maybe microsleeve the crank? Finally, use a good sealant on the housing...it will fill the pits unlike the paper gasket.

This tool that should have came in the middle of your new RMS. It is needed to make sure the seal seats properly over the crank. You install the RMS in the housing first...then push everything onto the crank with the tool as a guide to provide a smooth transition.

I used only Yamabond to seal the carrier housing...no gasket at all.

There's also an old (with spring) and new style.

Hmm I've never even seen one of those. And it pushes the seal in so it's perfectly straight right? I've been pressing mine in with the old seal and a 2x4 with a hammer. And I line it up with the front of the seal carrier so it's straight to the eye. Yet that's how I've pressed in all my seals on the engine and none are leaking so far. Except for this one. The first time it was the seal carrier that was leaking from there. This time I don't know yet. But I will look tomorrow.
Btw where can I pick that tool up?
And RMS Is a spring loaded one.
