In need of some local help!

Hey guys.. I have a 1990 325i sedan, m20/5-speed, and I've been trying to put it back together for the past few months without any luck. :( I'm looking for someone with some experience of their own in rebuilding an m20. I would love for someone to come to my house and help me put it back together!! Really looking forward to putting this thing back in and working with whoever is willing to help :)

I will definitely make sure to do something in return. Money is an option as well!

I think that your posts/voice is keeping you from getting help. I understand that you want to convey that you really feel like you need help, but you're doing it in such a way that makes you look entitled to the help. Guys are more then willing to help out, but there are much better ways to phrase things.

I would say somthing like "hey guys, I'd love it if someone would be willing to come out and give me a hand rebuilding my m20. I'm looking for some folks that are experienced because I've already waffleswaffleswaffles up one due X reasons. I'm more then willing to pay you in beers/blow/hookers/bitcoins/cash and some laughs."

I honestly thought that the original posting was okay! Didn't think anything of it, until you just brought it up. I really do sound like someone HAS to help me, when really, nobody is obligated to.
Haha, thank you for your advice! I'll definitely revise what I originally said.

if op posted this last part def would drive out to build e30

                  lol

Im sure some local guys will pop up and be willing to lend a hand sooner or later

Otherwise maybe it would be best to learn from earlier mistakes, buy a service manual and do the work yourself.

It's cool, just its always easier to help someone who seems cool and genuinely just needs some help and wants to learn, compared to "some punk kid" Just make it clear that you're not looking for someone to be obligated to start the project, more like a hang out and work on e30's and joy what we all love, hookers and blow.

I'd be more than happy to do everything myself! I just don't have the proper expertise and don't want to ruin another perfect engine :/

i could never get anyone to help me with my e30.. so i just started doing stuff myself. and it took longer in a lot of cases, but i learned a whole lot while doing it!
