    Track Days

I've been wanting to take my car to the track for quite a while, just not sure which is the best avenue to go with. Someone told me that the best it to join a club and go to their track days.

Anyone here takes their car to to PIR for track days? Do you belong to a club?
Whats the average cost to you for a day at the track?

Any input is appreciated from anyone that is doing this now.

    Thanks.

Cascade sports car club does events at PIR and ORP and they do not require a membership.

Cascade Sports Car Club offers exciting year-round activities like track days, driver education & racing school, road racing, and exhilarating rallies.

There are probably not many events going on until the spring.

First Cascade day will be March 29th. The BMW and Porsche club have fun days too. Go register with http://www.motorsportreg.com/ and you can see/sign up for 2014 events at PIR and ORP. PIR is a VERY forgiving track...lots of room for your off-track adventures.

You really shouldn't have any off roading at a club lapping day...

BMWACA Portland. Good bunch of people, nice attitude toward track time, GOOD instructors.

AROO (Alfa) also good bunch, even more laid- back, but again, good instructors.

The Porsche club has also been historically nice, too, but I'm not sure how the latest
national re- org left them. Probably still good.

Get someone in the right seat, and go have fun.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves
