    Any local ever...

... swapped from Auto to manual on an E36 M?

After a lot of thread "just sell it and get a manual" digging I'm still confused on the ECU side of things? Car's a '95 M3 Auto.

I would assume all that you'd have to do is change the auto engine harness to a manual one.

        Sweet. Thanks, fellas.

That was the only concern in the long run. Haven't really got everything pinned down yet on the potential new DD slut.

Chris, do you want the pedal assembly and all that from my e36 before it goes to the scrapper?

That would be great, dude! I still don't even know if I'll be getting it. I'll definitely house it tho for the future, heh. I'm meeting the guy Saturday to go over the car and see where that leads us.

My e36 has an auto harness but a manual trans. I believe when you do the swap there will be an error light on in the cluster but you can just pull that out.

                E36 is trickier if it's really a 95- when's the build date?

                The obd-1 cars aren't a big deal, but obd-2 isn't as straightforward...
...and I haven't messed with it.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

I believe 07/95. I'll verify that tomorrow or Saturday for sure though.

All the reading I've done (BFC lol) is saying I'd have to swap out harnesses.
