I paid $3500 for mine in 2008 and it was in really good condition. I actually finally found mine on a forum. Craigslist was going nowhere for me.

^That was 08', The price of E30's have drastically changed in the 6 years. A 3k car in 08' is now like 5k to 6k car. People just aren't realizing the price of e30's are going up fast. They're no longer as cheap as everyone remember them to be,

Exactly, I mean just basic tune up, fluids, and belt package stuff add's up quickly then not to mention the "oh hey that's broke, gotta fix that" stuff.

I wasn't saying that the price from '08 to now is the same.. I was just stating what I paid about 6 years ago to give an idea. I know that they aren't the same. I'm glad I got mine when I did. Because if I got one in the same shape, I'd be looking at a lot more.

demand drives price these cars prices flucuate and some sellers wanna try to recoup every blood and tear from thier investment and i just installed this water pump 2k ago cost 2-5k isnt unrealistic for a really well sorted out car ive found some and bought some under a grand with 2k plus in recent reciepts just have to know where to look and if you want to find cheap avoid the enthusist as attachment adds 2k to the price

Fuck, I bought my red car for $100 in December 2007. LOL. Doesn't mean much now, though.

After 2 months of owning it, I sunk around $4k in making it super reliable (and a couple cosmetic things too.) Adds up really fast.

Your fucking high if you think 5k is the minimum. 2-4k should be a solid e30

Right now, during the winter, there are shit for E30's up in PNW, and if there is one its usually overpriced as hell for a relatively shitty car.(Unless you're down in cali) I say wait for a couple of months, save up some cash, and buy one during the summer, seems to be more starting april/may ish.

Love how everyones argument for how they can still find a cheap e30 has major caveats like beat paint, no maintenance, or major issues (like the clown who says a busted waterpump is no big deal - that's a full days work and a couple hundred in parts).

5k for a no issues car minimum. You gotta pay to play kids, get a job.
