Pulled over

I was driving on mercer island with an audi tailgating me. I sped up to get him off my tail. I'm doing 40 in a 30. I pull up to my driveway off which you have to take a left to get to my house. The guy that was tailgating me pulled up next to me a bitched me out. Tried to be respectful and nice he wouldn't have it said my "race car" which is a stock 1990 ix should not be driven like a prick to me. I said alright and he sped off. Just wondering if any of you get unwarranted attention due to a loud exhaust or a race car like car?

Surprisingly cops don't even look at me in my primered stanced out bucket, only been pulled twice this year both times before wheels and suspension.

I get more assholes doing stuff like that to me in my stock E39 than I did in my E30. This one lady was going under the speed limit, then turned right as slow as possible, then stopped waaaay before the stop sign. So not on purpose, I ended up real close behind her. She then proceeds to get out of her car and yell at me. I just said, "then fucking go!" And she got back in her car. People make no sense. It's just so strange that I will have people tailgate me and shit like that in the stock car. Mind boggling.

Douchebags will be douchebags. I had a penny for every time someone said something idiotic to me, I'd be rich. Well, I'd probably have like like ten bucks but, you get the point.

I had a cop pull me over once to tell me that in his opinion my "piece of crap" isn't suitable to be driven on public roads, in his opinion. He didn't give me a ticket, he just wanted to talk shit about my car I guess. It was very strange.

I didn't really take offense to the "piece of crap" comment, but it just made me wonder why... My car is actually extremely nice, and as clean as they come, to be honest. He must have been trying to get a rise out of me.

Irrespective of who and why they are following/tailgating, don't do something stupid like going to your house, or funky evasive maneuvers. I would simply drive to the nearest police station and see if the stalker has the balls to follow you there.

Funny you mentioned an Audi. Months ago, I got an asshole following me and trying to talk to me on I-90 at 3 am (no, I was not out drinking). I started driving to the Bellevue police station and the guy took off never to be seen again.

Glad it didn't go any further.
