When I first saw the title I thought "Atleast someone is using Detriot for something, lots of open roads to cause chaos" then I started reading and was like damn you guys are driving from Oregon to Detroit Michigan. Now I realize there is a Detroit in Oregon.....

I might have to see if I can get down there. The biggest issue with my car atm is a bad steering rack. It works but I need to replace it.

It'll be cool to have both of you there. FYI, I'll have my full accompaniment of photo/video gear. I hope to get some camera time with a couple cars. I should have my E21 m20b25 swap sorted in the next couple weeks, fingers crossed. I really want to to take it.

How low is too low for this drive? and for those who have done it, is it worth a LONG drive just to get to the start point?

Yeah, more than a few make the same mistake. The first time someone said Leavenworth, I immediately thought they were talking about Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

How low is too low for this drive? and for those who have done it, is it worth a LONG drive just to get to the start point?

The roadway is pretty well kept up and not the issue. The issue is more around people with low cars slowing down the pack.

Indeed. Although my girl would kill me if I bought anything else for the car atm. Already spent $700 last month on used hr race & billies, and basket weaves with good rubber from Earendil, which I also bought days from each other cause I had a blow out on Memorial Day.

Definitely thinking about it, my pops rode his Harley on that stretch recently and said its amazing.

It really is a great road. And as there has been less inclement weather, there shouldn't be the tree debris in the road that we encountered last year.
