Need an opinion. the same clapped out 88 vert (325i, auto) that I got my shit sport wheel from has a unknown condition 3.73 open diff in the back seat (tag still on it, says 3.73 on it) . yard wants $150 for it, no axle stubs in the case. I have the stock 2.93 right now. (87 325e, 5 speed)

Absolutely not. Open diffs are worth $50, that is the going rate. You may see a rare ratio bring as high as $100.

325e cars with a chip and a 3.73LSD can be very fun and capable cars but under no circumstance should you pay $150 for an open diff.
