Criv, how were you able to run M50NV in PRO3? As far as I know you were the only one that had one and I thought you went back to M20?
not able to, but he was able to run SPM in the same group as PRO3.

Some of the posts you write...

Last drift day I rented the track, I put 60 miles on my engine...55 laps at evergreen in under 4 hours and mostly all at around 5-6k rpms. in those 60 miles, I can guarantee I ran my engine harder than any road racer would in their first 60 miles.

Obviously endurance racing has way more long term engine wear, because the races are longer but mile to mile wear? Is a drift engine abused more than a road race engine ? I think so, I've personally whitnessed both and as endurance cars run high revs a lot, they also see high speeds and a lot of cooling. L

You guys really need to stop hating, being so opinionated, and think outside of the 24v box. Ya they are cool engines, but neither are god like. Find something that works for you and stick with it.

Not so sure I'd trust many of these folks in this forum anyway. Been a member for 3 years, swap a m50, become a r3v master and give ppl advice on their build?

m20 is a nice simple engine to start on but claiming its godlike is ludicrous

I am no mechanical engineer but based on the designs of each engine I would say 24v are more rev happy than the valve train in the M20.. 1 or 2 of each motors holds no real tangible evidence. I am not even going to get into what motorsport is harder but I do notice drifters don't take very good care of their cars compared to drag racers and other real motorsports.

You can run m50s in pro3!???

I don't know what to tell you other than I think drifting is a lot harder on an engine than road racing! Your shifting through gears down shifting breaking ect while I'm in the same gear all day at redline clutch kicking to keep it at a higher rpm. I've road raced, auto x drag race done it all and I can tell you you are not going to work your car harder than out drifting! Maybe try it once guys instead of bashing it. Op is building his car for drifting and that's why I'm here to give valid data of just that. Enjoy your car have a good day namaste!!!😎
