WTB crappy stove or range for powdercoat

    Hi,

I am getting ready to start some small powder coating projects. If anyone has a free/cheap range/stove I can use for baking the powdercoat.

If anyone is willing to drop off to south Seattle I will hook em up with powdercoating a valve cover or something.

I will post some photos of my project as I get this moving.

Its nice to see that you are taking up powder-coating, I have a good friend that been doing it for 4 years now, he love it. be sure to have proper venting. the chemicals and gasses when baking can be toxic.

haha, thanks. I just responded to this guy this morning. I am picking it up hopefully today or tomorrow.
Yes, I pretty excited about it. Got the gun and kit from Eastland. I would love to color code my tools. That would be a huge help. First is going to be my valve cover. I am thinking White or Henna red?

If you get really good at it how much would you charge to do wheels?

hahha, that is getting pretty far ahead... I am not sure yet, but I can tell you, it would be cheap while I am learning ahahha.

I am gonna practice on some bottle caps first. I'd say like $40 a wheel, depends on how much prep is needed.

I could have them pre sand blasted. But yea if you can get a nice smooth silver finish id be in for a cheap refinish of my hartges just so they wouldnt get so dirty.

We've got a used Oven/Stove we just tore out of one of our rentals. Seems to be in good shape other than a cracked glass top on the edge.

Let me know and i'll see what we would be willing to sell it for. Need it out of the garage.

I use a somewhat large toaster oven. It only lets me do smaller parts (no valve cover or intake, for example), but it fits on a shelf in my garage, and is better than nothing. Eventually I'll get a full stove, but right now I just don't have the room for it.

Ok, I found a stove and brought it back home safely haha. Now I just need to have someone hook up 220 to where its located and we will be ready to rock n roll.

I hope to start making this happen soon. In the mean time, I just got my spray gun from EW and will prob be spraying a few front valance's
