FS $1900: 1990 Alpine sedan with goodies and rod knock

Looking to unload my Alpine 1990 sedan which I just rebuilt a head for, only for it to develop rod knock.

    The good:

Alpine 1990 325i sedan over tan, manual. ~225k on chassis
Refreshed 885 head, with like 30 miles on it.
Sparco sprint seat, Nardi classic wheel (possibly an italvolanti formel)
    H&R cup kit
    4.10 LSD
    Ellipsoid headlights
ABS door cards in the front
    Basketweaves with caps
    Z3 short shift lever

    The Bad:
Rod knock, so rod bearings need replacing, or a bottom end. May be a good candidate for a 2.7/8 m20 car.
Some dings and dents. Body is ok, not a rolling trashcan but not a concourse piece either.

Great starting point for a 2.8 and it would rip again, or sell off the 885 head and do an 24v swap.

Looking for a quick $1900 so i don't have to tow it to my new house.

This is relevant to my interests.

Is the rod knock fatal? I don't know enough about it to know if it's safe to drive. I have a full m20b27 with no issues so the bottom end shitting out is ok, but I'd hate to ruin the head.

Shouldn't harm the head as the bottom end goes to shit, but I don't know that you'd want to drive it at all, although it might survive a couple miles. It's in Edmonds WA currently

I may be able to tow it to somewhere in the seattle area for a serious buyer. Not 100% sure yet.

Did you drill the italvolanti wheel to the MOMO hub pattern?

Some are drilled for both, this one is drilled for both patterns.

I have one just collecting dust because I dont have the hub and was told that it would bolt to a Momo... lies!!!

and this car is perfect! I dont get why its still for sale. There is 10000 ETA blocks that people cant GIVE away.

^yep! would be easy and cheap to turn it into a 2.7 beast. That was my plan, but i have too many projects and not enough space.
