I got tons of those when I was selling my Subaru. what a waste of my time. I even led one on for a week trying to get him to tell me where he was coming from, his phone #, etc., but of course I couldn't get any of that info out of him.

I received similar notification from individuals interested in one of my E30 M3s back in 2009. Funny thing is..what I experienced was definately not a scam. The person ended up sending $17k cash as a gift to my paypal and I sat on the car for two weeks before they sent someone to fly out to pick up the car and drive it back to the MidWest. They drove back from NY to the west coast with scratched/random plates from their state (car wasn't even registered in their name yet). Only insured...

This guy says he's from the navy. It just seems odd.

            What do you guys think.

I wish i could just come and pay you the cash or cashier check but Im currently in service at the Air force base and that's why i ask we do this through text but i can make the payment to you through Pay Pal since that's the safety and secured way to send and receive money online and it's kind so simply and easy you can set up an account with them today through their website on www.paypal.com and once i make the payment to you can then withdraw it into your bank account.

Scam or not, as a rule I never sell cars to people without a test drive first. I sold a car to a lady in person who repeatedly refused to test drive the car. She paid for it and I delivered it... two days later she got around to driving it and "didn't like it". She wanted her money back and hassled me for weeks about it.

good thing we have call blocking apps on phones now but you should have told her 'caveat emptor' and hung up.

Its worth it to get a burner or older android phone and use a google voice account for selling shit on CL.

                      Scam.

Why would you think it's legit, it doesn't even make sense.
