    #2
I really Fd up about 10-15 years ago when I first got into e30s. These things were going for 10-14 grand tops. A late model e36 m3 was still 20,000!

they were still going for 10-15k a few years ago 20k e30 m3 were pristine to modified or new parts/well kept.

It only takes one period of time were their isn't any e30 for sale and suddenly some guy puts one up for 30- 40k to change everything, people start selling their e30's based on that one for sale ad, then you have 3+ ads going for 40k and up.. same thing I noticed happen to supras and those cars plenty full compared to e30's, they were made until 1999 soo many of them people own more than 1...

Then you have this local white one in the $40k range.

This is right on where Hagerty is pricing nice E30 M3s in their valuation guide.

That white one is a POS compared to the red one imo. There are a bunch of nicer ones in the same price range too.

There is something to be said for a stock e30 M3 with 120k miles, far from POS in my mind. The mods on this red one are very tasteful and easily reversible as well.

Didnt say the red one was, I think the red one is right on the money, I was saying the white one on craigslist is above what it should be in comparison to other models on the market and doesnt look super well taken care of.

Yeah I know. I am saying the white car is a very very nice example, and the owner of this red one is smart in that all modifications are tasteful and also reversible, because a stock e30 M3 will likely be worth more than a modified one.

Given the choice I'd take the red, but there's nothing wrong with the white one at all!

Kind of a pity they're both tan interiors...
