    Skid Plate Welding

    Hey locals,

Where would you take your car to get a skid plate welded? I have one of the ultimate skid plates Peerless sold ... I don't weld myself, but I'd be interested to know where you guys would suggest a local brother go.

See the link. The hoop is welded to the front frame of the car.

Please help me save my oil pan from becoming a wear item.

I had a friend's dad help me, make sure to wire wheel area where plates weld to, and wipe with grease and wax remover, if your taking to a shop, that will save a few $

      Please leave feedback below, thanks

From what I know he works at S3Designs on like Thur-Sat? Id ask him here on the forums.

Does this mean your car will make the picnic again?

Dude, you keep asking me! My car has been done for months! I'm just buttoning up the last few extra things.

Totally forgot, does it still have the supercharger? At least I thought you were the one with it.

No Supa chagha ... Man, I'm a guy who likes to keep my stuff pretty stock. That was someone else. Maybe once the kids are gone I'll do FI or something, but that is a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG way off.

Just welding the plates on the hoop onto the core support thing that holds the radiator? I could probably do that, I have a weldy machine, grinder, and a pair of floor jacks

That'd be sweet. Do you drink beer? I have beer/cash in trade.

I'm in Bothell, so where are you located?

Man I'd love to come be a peanut gallery while you get that welded on. I have a rollbar hoop from another car that's just collecting dust that I was contemplating chopping up to mimic that skid-plate. Would be great to get some measurements off that one or see where exactly on the car you mount it.

Send me a PM. You can come over and look at the instructions + take whatever measurements you want.
