FS: M20B27 + Getreg 260, My bastard setup.

Alright guys, I'm ready to sell my bullshit that I just pulled from my car to make room for the M60 goodness.

What i have is a M20B27 SETA long block, out of a 88 (IIRC), I bought it from a member on here, I can't remember who though. I did a head gasket and new head bolts, Water pump, timing belt, New Wires, new cap and rotor, etc, on it when it went in the car originally back in march 2014. Here's what makes it a bastard, The fueling system is the stock Diving board body 1987 Eta setup. It ran pretty well, but it did have a hesitation for about 500 rpm in the middle of the range. I don't have compression numbers or a leak down, but it did run well when I pulled it about a week or so ago. Engine did need an oil change badly, Friend's dad was driving it for a few months, and I'm pretty sure he didn't keep up on the oil changes.

Transmission is nothing special, It's just the stock Getreg 260 from the 87 eta, it shifted well, and didn't have any weird noises that I noticed. It might need some of the rear seals replaced, Hard to tell with the PS leak I had. Clutch was new when I installed everything back in march 2014. Driveshaft had a new center carrier bearing, but I don't think I preloaded it right, so no guarantees on it's condition.

I want to sell the whole damn thing. Engine, Tranny, Driveshaft, Harness and ECU, radiator, everything, Don't really want to split things up at the moment, Although cash talks. No delivery, No shipping, Please. I do have a engine hoist to assist with loading, and I am willing to help load. I live in Bucoda, Wa, south of Oly, North of Centralia.

I'm thinking somewhere in the $600 range for everything.

Is it a late model manual transmission? If so, I'd be interested in that if someone is interested in the SETA block.

      Thanks,

I'll get the production year off the car, and look for the VIN Sticker on the Tranny, I'm pretty sure it's the orginial transmission, and I'm pretty sure it's a June of 1987 production year car, Again, I will get that info tomorrow evening, when I get off work.

Sorry guys, shit went sideways last night, and I didn't get to it last night. I got it done today.

@gerta, it's the original transmission from the car, production of date of the car is 07/08/1987

@5Toes, I don't know the actual Dimensions between the big and small flange shafts. So here is a picture.

If you're separating I might take that SETA block off you. Any idea what the miles are on it? Have you pulled the head?

Well, If Gerta takes the tranny, then I'll separate.

I have not popped the head off, it was a runner up till a week ago, and the only reason I yanked it, is because I am doing the M60 swap. As for mileage, I don't know the mileage before I got it, but since I put the new head gasket, and head bolts on it back in 2014, It probably has about 10-15k on it.

I'll take the G260 and shifter parts off your hands if you still have them. I'll PM you my number.

                        Thanks man.

Transmission is now sold to Munich Man.

Full disclosure, after separating the tranny from the motor tonight, it looks like the rear main may be seeping a little.

I will take a few more pictures tonight, Clutch is in pretty damn good shape. I'm willing to part out the motor now. Make me offers.

                          EDIT:
Compression results. Keep in mind I'm having to do this by hand because the motor is already out of the car in the flywheel is already off. I'm sure the levels are probably higher, if I was able to do it right.

                          First cylinder 130
                          Second 120
                          Third 125
                          Fourth 115
                          Fifth 115
                          Sixth 115

Also, here is some shots of the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.
