    Break adjustment.

Hey guys. Picked up my latest car a month ago, 86 325es. I just noticed. It takes barely any movement for the break lights to go on. It even gets tripped when I clutch and don't get get close to touching the break pedal. Was wondering if adjusting it would help remedy this. Or not or what I should do?

you can adjust the brake pedal out.

loosen that nut, spin the clevis out a few spins, re tighten. and in the future, if you have to push a while before it comes on, replace switch, or so the opposite.

Yeah this is how I was going to change the placement wasn't sure ifor it was going to help the sensor tripping or not. Once the storm is gone I will certainly be doing this.
