Lonely highway? Like what? just us and the state troopers?

For me, that's a 6 hour drive, and especially considering I make the trip once a year already to Seattle. I know it's not nearly as much of an issue for Portland area guys, but that pretty much excludes Daniel and myself from every meet.
how do you think it makes me feel about portland meets? I did make it to ken's house and back in 6.5 hours (I did about 90-95 the whole way), but that was a pretty grueling trip.. ;)

well, if I get enough notice and I can get the day off, I'll try to show wherever. but I'll end up spending like $150 on gas (M20 stroker motors don't get good gas mileage). :)

Yeah, Mot spent as much on gas in his car as we did in the Cadillac SUV on the bimmerfest trip. Ouch

i dont mean to be a dick, nothing against all you guys, i would just like to point out something:

the title of this tread as follows: Wa e30 meet

Number of posts from washington in this thread: 19 (twenty if you include this one)

Number of posts from oregon in this thread: 32

soo how bout we have a meet in washington guys? considering oregon just hijacked this thread....

(again i have nothing against oregon, or the people of oregon. it just that this thread was about a washington meet, not an oregon meet. not all of us can afford to drive down to pdx or bend. and for the record, i see alot more oregon e30 meets than washington ones)

We should do this sooner rather than later. Rain isn't fun for driving and usually doesn't make for good lighting in pictures.
best twisties around is from fall city to issaquah.
send me a pm for more info on the route, also i might take the oportunity to go with drive those twisties with you.

or we could add those twisties to our WASHINGTON e30 meet!

If it make you feel better I can edit the title :p

Looks like Im gonna hijack this thread officailly, So Yes the next meet is in PDX, no ifs ands buts about it. Ive been to 4 meets in Tacoma, 1 in bend(granted I was there all of 20 minutes as josh will point out) and 1 in eugene last year(Which James and 2 other WA guys showed up for). I really think its only fair.

As for any one who complains about gas milage. I drove my 2.7i e30 to Santa Barbera, avg mpg 13.5, Yes 13.5. You have any idea how much that cost me?
I filled up 5 fucking times each way, maybe more....

Now back on topic: Where are we meeting and what are we driving to?

13.5 on the freeway? you must have been billowing out black smoke! I get 15-17 in the city and 19-21 on the freeway, and I thought that was bad!

The engine builder (who will remain nameless) chose to run off the euro K/L jetronic hybrid combined with the eta bottom end equaled some really shitty tunning and terrible gas milage. I got rid of the motor before I even bothered to convert it to megasquirt and give it a decent tune. When It was dyno'd it was running damn rich down low and lean up top :(
