I think you are wrong and it sounds like you are talking out your ass! If you dont have pics it never happened.

You are missing the entire point of this thread, the point is this guy is a jerk who threw a half ass motor swap into a 300 dollar E30 and expects 4500 for his project. Get on topic or GTFO

Ok ok ok... im not shitting here, i am just out to post my ideas like everyone else has.

first: Just because your car has a motor swap, does not incline the value. anyone who thinks so needs to take a step back and realize something, when a motor is swapped, the title is no longer correct. you will need to go to your state department of transpo, and get a title made for a car with a swapped engine and unoriginal parts... which in texas is classified as a mechanics car (pieces thrown together by a mechanic) and in return is known as a 'beater'. hate it? its the truth.

Second: exterior condition. all in all, to restore the exterior, will cost close to 4 grand with labor and paint alone, are you and your prospective clients aware of that? i hope so. you have important wires hanging from here and there, which is not only dangerious, but it looks like this car sat in your yard for 5 months before you cut the grass and found it again.

third: swapped parts. why were these parts swapped in to begin with? if the car was operating at normal function, it wouldnt have needed to be replaced. sounds fishy to me when i look around a car and notice brand new suspension parts (usually means the original suspension was damaged in a accident).

my .02: your car is not worth 4500. you cant add on the fee's for labor. a m50 from a wrecker yard goes for 500+/- cash. your car is sitting on steelies, bad paint, shitty interior and such. my best advice is to stop sitting on this thread posting bitch statments, put together the car completly, get it a cheap spray to get rid of that shitty ass clearcoat issue, and throw on some stock weaves with or without centercaps. OR you can part it out for what useful pieces you have.

then again, if your car is worth 4500, how much is mine worth? buhaha!

A 4 door POS with a swap is not worth 4500$

I think I found the build page for the 4 door swap.

Well, they're not evos, but I think you'll enjoy seeing those pics!! I've seen the car in person, and that thing can't even idle, just keeps stalling... Well, as said, ENJOY! http://www.clubjapo.com/foro/showthread.php?t=117543

How am I e-thugging anyone? You pointed out something that was wrong and I corrected you.

I'm not getting even remotely involved in this price war but I will say this: If you bring an E30 into my shop with EVERYTHING for the swap ready to go, it's still going to cost around $5000 to get it all installed and you won't see your car for a few weeks at least, and that's if there are no other projects to take care of. Usually I'd say a month minimum, barring an unforeseen problems. Swaps are hard and take time and money, a well done swap in a clean car is worth a fortune. The OP has a shit motor in a shitbox so that's a different story but before you start arguing the semantics of what was done right and what wasn't, make sure you know what you're talking about.

First: I agree with you here in an M50 case, unless it's built in some way. But a 13 second E30 should be worth more than a 16 second E30 providing both are in the same condition.

Second: I don't know who does your paintwork but they're damn cheap! To do that right would be at LEAST $6 - 7k at one of the body shops my business uses regularly.

Third: I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a professional tech with access to tools and parts at a discount and even I don't replace shit unless it needs replacing.

I won't argue with you there about asking prices being all over the place, but what are these cars SELLING for?

The OP said... "I NEED to sell"... and if that's the case, the price is waaaaaay too high. Period.

Yes, to an extent. But I'm not in the market for one so I don't feel the need to berate the OP like you do. If he brought it to my shop and asked me to sell if for him, that would be a whole different ball game...

Kind of like the woman who showed up with an E30 M3 and wanted to get $16k for it. We told her if she could get half of that she would be lucky as hell... The truth hurts sometimes.
