    Looking for any E36 cars in PDX

    I'm getting a lot of calls on E36 skid plates. Do any of you have one. Or do you have a friend that may let me use there car. Your help would be appreciated.

        Bring them on. I would like to make a plate for any and all BMW's I just need the cars and the interest in the plates.

                      E30s need a skid plate because the oil pan is FORWARD of the wheels. On the E36, the oil pan is behind the wheels...

                        Oh and e36s are rear sump, thats why you need an e34 oil pan for a 24v swap.

                          And I think the Xbrace does offer what little degree of protection is necessary, though that is not it's primary function.

                            truth, I have bottomed out a SLAMMED e36 and nothing happened to the oil pan, it's not the lowest point... same with e46's.. That being said, it's nice to have the plate in case you hit a huge hole in the road or some sort of hard debri...
