Need to do a Crown Point drive before the weather turns for the worse too. When it gets cold out that place must be like the first place to get ice. Then it never seems to go away.

Crown point is kool, you'd have to go way late a night though cause it's quite a busy road, at one point I could remember every turn until multnomah falls, believe it or not i was pretty fast on that road. Then I crashed

I had a Wallace & Grommet moment this last tuesday. Drove all the way from Bellevue to Tillamook just for some cheese.
The drive from Hwy 26 to Tilamook via Hwy 6 is amazing.
That, and at the end you can get 'exclusive' cheese.

non pnw related, but hwy 1 going through the california coast off hwy 101 is just fucken amazing more hairpins and 10mph turns than you could imagine, and big elevation changes. South of hwy 1 is hwy 128 going through wine country its faster and more flow than hwy 1, but there is plenty of really nice S curves and hair pins thrown into the mix as well. Some of the best roads i've ever driven.

Scappose-Vernonia Highway in either direction, for all of the PDX'ers who view this, it is a must drive! Be careful through Vernonia as the cops out there don't have much to do and the speed limits are low.

ps, The pass is also very dangerous I've seen alot of accidents, roll overs, and other issues over the years on that road, fun but dangerous be careful. To get to McNamee you have to turn off the pass onto Skyline road East Bound continue for about a mile or so and you will see it on your left.

Isn't Cornelius a major road? and less than 1/4 mile south of it on 30 is McNamee rd which from google earth, looks awesome.

Try Cornelius Pass -AKA "The Slot Car Track" out HWY 30 to Reeder beach on Suavie Island. Without traffic, the pass is fast & tight...

There could be a slow group and an awesome group? Maybe have a mini meet in fossil or something.

So August is a little more than half over and I have been driving a swapped car for over a month now I think. Are we going to get a drive planned or what? ▲▲▲ That drive looks like a lot of fun, we could just do that!

Just made a loop of what is most likely the best drive oregon has to offer. 380 miles incorporating 5 drives suggested by the motorcycle site posted earlier.

You can drag the blue route line to add to it ;)
