I second the drive from snoqualmie to fall city (made it many times during highschool), but one of my favorites is chuckanut road in bellingham. Pretty long, plenty of twisties, straights, and light on the police.

driving from troutdale to corbett is probably my favorite drive. going down stark. lots of curves and the roads are usually empty.

i know what you mean but I dont remember the curves.

However theres a road like that in SE too its holgate. Seems like a main thouroughfair but as it goes east it turns into the middle of a park into a twisty road with no stopping.

The scenery of holgate even in the straight part is outstanding going past two colleges and basically yuppie areas.

I know for locals they probably dont even think about it but it suprised me and my friend who lived there for years agreed its a nice drive. not thrilling but suprising.

that road that goes out toward sunnyside? the clackamas area. that is a good drive. if you go through corbett and past the schools, the roads get curvy. like if you were going toward multnomah falls. i bike it too.

no holgate is in portland. its the next major road south of powell.

I mean se holgate. Its possible theres a sw holgate....

Sunnyside is a nice road heading east if thats what you mean. goes into happy valley rich residential mountain area.... cant say its amazing but its nice...

not exactly virgin timber and mountain lions but very forested.

if you go down holgate to like 174th, it starts to go south, toward clackamas. im positive.

ya it goes through a park and I think a bridge even out of nowhere. Theres a canyon and an S in the road.

More than anything it gives you the impression of wtf how did I get here? At the beggining its straight with stop signs. Still, very nice street but ordinary residential. Somehow it hits just a lot of undeveloped lots, a university or two and then one of the funkiest parks, and that part has no shoulder either its like you got stuck on a hotwheel track for a second.

                        what is my car?

                        Well I have a 89 bmw 325 ic.

I drove it around portland aimlessly a lot. The neighborhood we are describing was my neighborhood. from the 24 hour fitness at the williametter river, all the way to sunnyside in clackamas.

I drove an ice cream truck lol. so sunnyside to powell was my range.

It's a ways south frome most but my favorite is hwy 242 also knows as the old McKenzie hwy. goes from Eugene to Sister OR? I do the drive with my S2000 group every year. Tons of twistys but it's narrow and depending on when ya go there's some rocks on the road.

its all about east mercer way-->north mercer way-->west mercer way-->south mercer way! 13/14 mile loop around Mercer Island that curves like a race track.
