Last night, my dads friend was pulling the head apart and found that there were 2 valve spring seats on one valve, which explains everything. Just gotta swap that valve and all its hardware (to be safe) and put it back together.

Can't we find a more central location as a start point? Im in Orange Park and it takes me an hour to get to the beaches. Maybe Bartram Park area right off of 95?

guys we need to figure out a meeting spot.
i propose 2 spots one at say 9:30ish closer to the west side. those closer to that location meet there then ride out to the last meeting point at target @10. then all of us go on the cruise.
i live very close to the beach and i don't want to drive all the way out to bartram just to turn around and come back.
having 2 meeting points is the only way i see it being done.

I live in st johns county. About 15 minutes from mickler beach. I have to drive 20 min north to drive back south. So i feel you. I just figured if we met at target its
1) easy to find
2) have spsce for us to congregate
3) woukd offer a direct cruise route to Vilano. No turns or lights

I'm not really feeling on having g to drive a hour east to then drive an hour south.

Also, driving g on A1A would not give anyone an opportunity to take pics. Driving down US1 would as it's a two lane highway.

either way you need to drive out to A1A.

I guess I won't be going then cause I will not be driving 1 hour to a mtg spot.

I also have two young girls I will be taking with me as my wife is working and I highly doubt they will enjoy being in a car for 2+ hours.

Unless mtg spot is in a more central location I'm out.

hey man, i wasn't trying to be a dick or anything. just pointing out that the cruise is on a1a so no matter where we meet, you will still be driving there. i understand about the 2 young ones though.


i guess we need someone to finalize this since its 1.5 days away. surely 8 of us can agree on this.

My goal is to try and accommodate everyone. But we all live various parts of the biggest city in the US. I'm up for other ideas but someone needs to toss them out

Hey guys Like I mentioned I can't make it cause my M60 swap is not finished but I can still show up if you don't mind. My E30 is running but I haven't finished my shifter linkage(no reverse) and some wiring. Maybe on the next one.

Poorboyz and others, I think the most important thing is for us to finally get together and meet one another, to put names to faces and cars to faces. The cruise is secondary. Wherever you are traveling from the final destination is 180 Vilano grill so for those who don't want to cruise just meet us at the grill. Maybe we can discuss our next meet, talk cars and just get to know each other. I live in Callahan so it will also be a haul for me and my wife.

After 24 years of ownership my E30 still puts a smile on my face, so whether I'm driving to work, the grocery store or Vilano beach it's no big deal. Why do we own these cars anyway?
