Anyone have any experience pulling a head from an m20b25? Is it worth it, or should I just replace the motor?

Well guys, been plugging away at the flow bench. I know, I know haven't gotten to the 885 e30 casting yet, but have a client soon that will be needing a top end and matching cam from us soon, so we started plugging away at flow testing a port development for his set up.

The red line is stock flow (obviously lol), the second line is a common DIY'er port job done by me without any flow testing or removing much material. The thir line is after removing just over 5cc of material from the port. The port measured 25.3cc stock and opened them up to 131.8. Haven't CC'd the chambers yet (haven't de-shrouded the exh in the chamber yet), and still have a little detail guide work before polishing the high velocity areas.

                      Anyways, enough talking...

Now since flow benches are kind of like dynos, you can take the same car and the numbers will be slightly different from one place to the next depending on calibration, testing technique etc, so I put together a comparative flow sheet from database info...

Averaging 20%+ increase on these crappy stock iron domestic heads using the stock valve (nail head design, not even a tulip valve :(), and the port is only roughed out! Can't wait to see the total gain :)
