Just and update on bridge closing....

NC28 at Fontana has reopened ... bridge has been repaired.

So it looks like that will not be a problem now if we plan on driving anywhere in that area

This should be reopened by this ride that is planned but thought I would share just in case we planned on going that way for any roads.

NC28 BRIDGE CLOSED AT FONTANA DAM - SEPT 6: The NC28 bridge across Cheoah Lake just a mile north of Fontana Village will be closed 4 to 6 weeks for repair. All visitors coming to Fontana Village and Fontana Dam from Tennessee will have to use NC143 from Robbinsville as a detour.

i know we definitely wont be racing. i was just talking to my cousin about it and he just said that this year has been the worst year for cops so far. He was also telling me a bunch of other good roads to cruise on. im not too worried about it. either way this will be an awesome weekend.

We had no problems. We aren't going to set records and we certainly will not be racing. We head out early. Miss the cops and then don't get back on the dragon again. There are many other GOOD roads :)
