Just remember, Look Rock closes October 31..

Anytime before or even close to that is cool... Fall colors are Mid late October depending on prior/summer climate situation..

I personally would like to do August up in the high elevations but definitely the fall rally.

yea, im not thinking of a full blown rally in august. More or less of a fun time. Because i def cant make a OCT trip with a baby on the way the 15th.

However, i do want to do something before i get tied in. The spring rally will be my next meet if we wait till oct. So in short, if 4 or 5 guys are up for the meet in aug. i call it a go!

I'd like August to be a big show, simply because there's a chance I'll be tied in with school in October and driving up for one night may be a bother.


So why not plan October and August to be big, as I am bringing 2 people with me.

one thing i learned from planning a few meets, is that. The less you plan it. The more people show up.......
So august could be much larger than june was.

well, for Balsam mountain we'll have to plan camp site size. If we overwhelm it, we may not get space to camp out and have to sleep in cars.

Balsam is a good bit closer for you eastern side guys.. It will be in the 70s daytime and uber cool at night to incur max comfy sleep weather..

Who remembers the run to Clingmans Dome on one of the rally... 87 in the valley and 68 at the Dome... Balsam is only 1000' below the dome...

Full moon at that elevation will be unreal... Halston bring the good camera !!..lol...:)
