What's up guys, Just picked up a really great '91 318iS, I'm stationed at Fort Bragg. Pretty new to E30's, I've already been grinning like an idiot while driving that thing though. Just thought I'd say what's up

Hey everyone! New owner in the Raleigh area. I got my E30 back in March but I didn't see this thread until now...
My main driver is an S2000 but I'm hoping to turn my '87 325e into a fun project car. As far as BMWs go, I've been a lifelong fan but this is my first car with a Roundel.
Any other Raleigh area owners around? If you see an eta coupe with a rattle-can red paint job (previous owner), that's me!

I found out I'm moving to North Carolina to support my program at Ft. Bragg. I've already started to look for home, but I wanted to hear from those of you living there about some options:
1) Are there any decent places to live within 20 min of Ft. Bragg near I-95 that anyone wants to recommend? I will be buying a house, $180k - $220k.
2) Any areas where emissions testing is not required? My 97 M3 will probably not pass since it is now OBDI
3) Locations to avoid completely
4) Anything else you wish you knew prior to moving there or something someone not from there wouldn't know, or wouldn't know to ask?
5) Any 1/8 or 1/4 tracks near by?
I should be showing up around August 2014....love doing drives, events, Cars and Coffee, etc. I work on my cars, am part of the CCA, so not sure if that impacts where I can live or what not. Any advise is greatly appreciated!1997 Artic Silver M3
