Saw a lowered, nice clean-looking silver 4-door late E30 today, eastbound on -540. Looked really nice. Maybe 15" wheels on it.Leave a comment:

Chump racing
How was chump cars vs Lemons? I did three races at CMP with a 92 Jetta and had a blast. Some friends and I are thinking of getting back into it and I'm wondering if it is worth the extra effort to make the car chump-car legal so we can run both series.Leave a comment:

That's a pretty good list. If you're going to build the original eta motor I would suggest doing the i head swap. There is tons of info on the forum about it if you search. The other option sticking with the m20 is going turbo, and there again is tons of info about that on here as well.
Almost everyone here has put a lot of work into their cars, but if you want a comparison these guys are local to you and have some of the cleanest cars around.

Hi Matthugie,
I have done both. When I bought the car it was not in running condition, it originally had a '84 325E engine in it but I installed a '87 325I engine which required me to have to rewire the fuse box. I have lowered the car and replaced all of the suspension parts, installed angel eye headlights changed out the tail lights. I also did a bumper tuck. As for the '84 engine I plan to rebuild it but not to stock specs. I have done all of this and a few other things and am looking to compare and maybe get additional thoughts and ideas.Leave a comment:
