                                I know I've asked this in the past, but does anyone own or have some significant knowledge on m42s in the area? I really need some diagnosis help with this overheating frustration. Change fan clutch, thermostat, and bled system (hopefully correctly). Needle still starts at just over 1/2 the fluctuates around 3/4 sometimes higher.

                                    Is it actually overheating tho? Your gauge could be wrong. Or the sensor for it could be broken.

                                            Could be your gauge. To you have a laser temp gun or anyting? Maybe a cheap coolant temp.gauge from oreillys?

                                                What's the thermostat test? Had a local mechanic replace the thermostat. Almost positive it's the gauge or ground nut on back of gauge in cluster... Hopefully that's all it is

                                                    You stick the t stat in a pot of water, then get a thermometer to check the temp when it opens. It's just to check that it opens at the right temp.
