i did. i traded. i brought an 87 sedan to the "gun fight". i had it running pretty good so he can drive it up to the nw.

i spent 13 hours on the road up and back. i was beat.

Man, I've been so persistent. The car is sitting in the owners sisters yard, the first two weeks she lost my contact info, I went back and she said she would text him right then. I waited another week I hadn't heard anything and went back (yesterday). She said that he said he was willing to sell it and gave me his number and said to text him. I texted him yesterday and I still haven't heard anything. It's like pulling teeth. I'm hoping my persistence pays off though.

I'm totally in for a build thread of this beauty.

some dingleberries will will never get off their asses without motivation. i hope it works out for you. sometimes being too antsy can bite you in the butt. you don't want the guy to start thinking his crap is worth a mint, you know.

you know how i am. its like my ex girlfriend and puppies: every time i see a derelict ix, i just want to save it. i am about a crack hair away from having a yard full of them.

both transfer cases are in good working order. the extra trans seems to be stuck in reverse. i haven't had the time to check it out very thoroughly. apparently, the extra engine has some sort or problem with the head. i haven't looked at it either.

i like the idea of a get together. i would really like to meet up sometime.
i am afraid it might only amount to 4 or 5 cars/people actually willing to participate when it comes down to it. that'd be fine though. the next time i'm in seattle, i will give you a shout. i know bellingham is a ways away, but maybe with some notice you can find the time to trek down?
