Below is the ideal plans for the meet. I would like it to be in 2 weeks, but if you accept or reject, please post when, where, and what you want to do... the more options, the easier.
If we agree on having a bbq, I think if everyone throws 5 bucks or so and get the goods, and bring their drinks/snacks to the meet...
Let me know...

r3v DFW meet
When:
April 4th (pm), 5th (am or pm), or 6th (am or pm). I think this will be a fairly good enough time in advance to get stuff together, finished up, and rolling to meet up.
Where:
I have a few places in mind. This vote-able so I would like it if everyone posted their choice. I don't know exactly where everyone in DFW is. I do know 5 or 6 of us at least is fort worth side. please, voice your opinions. Some people prefer parking lots, parking garages, or places to eat.
Keep in mind this will be anywhere from 4 to XX amount of cars, and some businesses don't like that, nor do servers at places to eat. Police know when there is a group of the same cars in one area, somethings up and if were in a secluded space minding ourselves on public property they shouldn't mind.
Doing what:
A meet and eat. I'm thinking everyone pitch in and have a bbq. We wouldn't have to worry about service at a sit down joint, we can be as loud as we want, and we can have fun. Maybe have a campfire (I hope we can do this on a lake), bump some music, and for some of us who like to fish, we can fish.
The ideal date is the weekend before HIN, and if some of us will be rolling to HIN together, I would like to meet up sometime before so we can all gather around and make plans that fit everyones needs/preferences as far as when and where we will be meeting up.
But following this meet, we can schedual bbq's, group drives to events (car shows, major meets or even drift or autocross events), a day of fishing/drinking, or a weekend trip to austin or to corpis and have a party that I'm sure we can't forget (I make big ass bonfires... ;-))
Benifits from having a group and meets:
I'm a type of guy where you cover my ass, I cover yours. We know there are times we will need help moving/swapping/installing things in our car. If I go to a junkyard and see something someone needs, ill give him/her a ring and see if they need it and will either pay me back, or help me out with something. BMP design is in tyler, tx and if we all were to approach them for group buys.
This also goes torwards services. I know strippers, car audio, installers, bmw tech's, great muffler shops, some amazing welders and car crazy people with car crazy tools to help out. People know people, and that will only help everyone out more.
As far as my idea for the location of the meet is Cahoba. Located off loop 820 off north side of lake worth but south of the TCC NW campus. Its a twisty road with elevation changes that has a park, a large parking lot used for a boat launch and a gravel pit parking lot on a good sized turn overooking lake worth. Half it has been attacked by a speed bump crew (a ricer crew thought it was japan and police got involved), but overall a good road to cruise on for 10 minutes or so... If somethings better, I'm down!

I think you being really into your car may not be the only reason she thinks you're a dork :nice:. Seriously though I think a meet and eat would be nicer than just the guys and the E30's.Sounds like a good i dea but my girlfriend thinks im a dork for being so obsessed with my car. If we did something like go to the lake or some other activity I could probably talk her into it. I was planing on trying to get her to come. Hey i got a thought we can bring all of our girls and get emm to mud wrestle.Leave a comment:

just curious how many of you other E30'ers coming have g/f's or wives... I'll leave my g/f home if most of you are single. Don't want all of you scoping out my smokin hot g/f that only dates me for my Bimmer. (I kid)
Although having made it an issue I guess I'll have to bring her otherwise none of you will believe she exists huh? so I guess the rest of you should bring your significant others... or get dates.

was it a honda guy with an RDX motor/turbo? K24sumthinoruther. Can't think of the engine code, but that's what it sounded like to me, if so, and he had it in a decent car, that's actually pretty beast. But probably not considering the cost of the setup.. I haven't seen it done yet but ever since those came out while I worked at David McDavid Acura in Plano I wanted to steal my friend one so his shitty turbo civic would actually go fast.
anyways, why austin? did they cancel HIN Dallas this year due to the HORRID turnouts here? I have a ticket I got for free through a promo, but I don't know if I'll be going out, my girlfriend has semi banned the idea since I came back with pictures last year (dumb).
PM sent with number/e-mail, and don't feel bad I'm 20 too
. shitty age if all of your friends are older and single and want to go out drinking
BTW, I know down by white rock lake there is some drive-in Sonic type burger joint that serves beer as well I think (makes sense anyways...) and that's like a few blocks from the lake, park, BBQ, and cruise. Only thing I can think of.Leave a comment:

pm the meet info and I can try to meet up... Specially now that I finally got the car to pass inspection.
the other option for DFW meets would one of the LSBMWCCA autocrosses. Wouldnt even have to run, but could BBQ etc. These tend to be pretty laid backLeave a comment:

Hmm. 6th street... perfect for drinking apple juice, seeing I'm 20. HahaLeave a comment:

I was out there the same weekend as SXSW. We had a lot of fun Saturday night. We stayed in Lakeway and went to Lakeway Inn with some friends.
Suffice to say, I'd really like to move down to Austin in the next 5 or so years.Leave a comment:

True. There is a lot of rice, but the actual built showcars, and isn't HIN the drift event too? If so, there are some badass cars for that, as well.
Besides places to eat, clubs, or other places to meet @, there are a lot of twisties (hints our lakes). I know of a badass spot to hit up for a park/fishing spot, twisties, and spot to park at least 20 cars...
Its just a matter of everyone putting their 2 cents in and making it work. I'm willing to drive to a little bit, but nothing insane on the dallas side. But loop 820, 360, 35w/e, 30, 20, 183, 121, 114, loop 12, 635 and 287 I'm cool with... lets think of a good spot to have a meet, but accessable, friendly people, not inflicting on other peoples meets, lighted, and easy to remember. It should also be around a good place to eat, but something other than talking to do (swim, fish, bbq, wrench, chill or relax)Leave a comment:
