I've been past it a few times on the way to the Hoagie Factory, but I'm not much of a gun person. Shot some in Boy Scouts, but that was about it.

Evan Luce is a great resource too. His stuff is fairly priced and he's SpecE30 adjacent so he's in the know.

Edit: I just looked at his marketplace profile and he has an 885 up for sale:

Yeah, I found his FB posts and hit him up. He cut me a decent package deal, but then I found a crusty head for free. It'll be good enough for this build, but I'll keep him in mind for future stuff. We just didn't have timing worked out this time.

Maybe my Google skills have declined, but I'm kind of surprised at how few e30 parts are available in the area.

Used 885 Head Cash only picked up in 18938–New Hope, PA or shipped at your cost (not cheap to pack or ship as it’s heavy and awkward).

I thought my sedan had a head gasket leak, only to find two cracks in the head. I'm trying to get something quick so the car is drivable while I finish building the new engine. Obviously this is for an m20b25. Thanks!

Most of the cars at the Main Line c&c are not high-dollar exotics. The organizers use pics of those rides to draw attention on FB, but you'll see plenty of normal cars, like Miatas & E30's and some weird stuff like Citroens. Best part, if you miss one month, you can catch it next month. They've moved to a place in Bala Cynwyd which is very close to home for me. I took the pics below at the August '23 meet.

I've been trying to get the Picnic East for a few years, but it always happens while I'm out of town on family vacations. Maybe this year I can make it!
