Were you doing a complete rebuild?

Well I'll be on "Spring Break" next week. staying in Troy to look after the house and work on the FSAE car. Really wanted to take the E30 out of hibernation but it doesn't look like I wll be able to for a while.

Where is everyone's favorite ski slope? If I have to live through the winter, might as well get some sort of consolation out of it.

Also a good clutch and PP with less than 30,000 miles on it

Well a decent amount actually. It blew the head gaskket so engine is iffy. Here is what I've done to it in the past year or so:
    - new bilstein shocks front and rear
    - inner and outer tie rods
    - sway bar end links
    - top hats
    - decent ANSA catback
    - new control arms both sides
    - new lollipop bushings
    - front wheel bearings
    - New CV joints
    - Good drive line with probably 190,000 miles
    - decent interior

I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting I have recites for almost everything I did. I just think the body is to rusty to keep on the road and wouldn't be worth the extra money for me to replace the head gasket even though I would do it myself of course....

So going to ask a dumb question here instead of the parts for sale thread. How interested would people be in an 1988 IX partout in New York. I was planning on selling my car but I think the head gasket went on it and just from the condition the body is in it is probably better to part out everything then keep the rust bucket going...

Yeah i'd say this is the first "real" winter inna few years. You missed the one 2 years ago where it barely got below freeing and we got less than 20" of snow. As a skier it was terrible.

If you count last year as a winter. It seems very mild in comparison to this year's.

Also I'm accustomed to perpetual SoCal Summer, so this time of year sucks for me. Also not having the E30 out makes me complain a lot more than I otherwise would...

Yeah the weather here was a big tease. It got up to 50! but it's back to single digits for us this week. I just hope that the switch gets flipped before April (it's wishful thinking I know, but I'm losing my mind not having my E30 out and about).
