At night, after the museum closes, the lot opens up. the lot loops around the front of the museum(at the top of the stairs) I was thinking we'd meet somewhere along west rive drive in one of the parking lots. cruise around the drive, head to south philly and chill at the top. with our cars.

The key is we'll be there at night when most people are gone. parking up top is free, and there's plenty of space in the back lot(which is a handicapped lot when the museum is opened) also free.

I've done this many times with friends and i was actually up there 2 nights ago, just for the hell of it. a few people without cars, and 1 car.

If this ends up being huge, not all of us can park at the top of the stairs at once, but we can alternate, since the lot is pretty big.

I'm down but I don't think I'll be taking the e30, probably the e36 instead. The biggest issue I can see here is the drive down to Pats/Genos if you're serious about getting a steak. It's super pack down there during the weekends, especially Fridays and Saturdays. I'm not sure if anyone here like Shanks or Tony Lukes but they have a parking lot and it's definitely easier to get around.

Yup I was considering the same issue. Depending on what time we go Tony Lukes would make the most sense. Even if they didn't have a parking lot, there's plenty of street space at night usually.

Different sammich but just as fun. I honestly figured i'd decide that when I saw the turnout that night...which seems to be a decent number of cars. I can see this becoming a big gtg.

I hope it does, and lots of people show. BMW or not!

Also yea theres no way I'm driving to genos or pats on a sat night. I went to school at SJU on city ave and if you guys are looking for a place there is a bunch I know about that wont be packed and there is very accessible parking as well.

Tony Lukes has plenty of parking, and street parking. Not usually as busy...I live near sju right now, and there ARE tons of places to grab food in this area and parking is much friendlier than south philly.

We could order a bunch of pizza or something, when we all meet up, from somewhere, have someone go get it, and all hang out and eat by the art museum?

Also, The Manayunk diner has a huge parking lot, and that's right up kelly drive and ridge ave.

I was sort of set on doing a philly steak run, but even if tony lukes isn't busy, it could be a pain just getting down there on a saturday evening...

Let's do 6:00 at the parking lot right near the crew finish line, right before columbia bridge on kelly drive.

Manayunk Dinner, The parking lot along the river, and the museum. We could all meet at the manayunk diner lot. it might make more sense, but scenery is far worse...

                    Mawr input.

For the sake of simple communication. All updates will be posted here

An E30 cruise(all BMWs welcomed!(actually all cars welcomed!)) through the river loop in the Farimount area of Philadelphia, Down to south philly for cheese steaks, back up to the loop for photos,...

It'd be cool if you could RSVP if you'll be making it. i think we'll have a great turn-out

IF I may make a suggestion, make the cheese steak place tony lukes, the parking is much better suited for a car meet. Also the cheese steaks are better, duh.

We've already been talking about where to move the food to. we decided either Tony Lukes, or possibly the Manayunk Diner. Not only does the Diner have a HUGE parking lot, it wont have us driving through center city Philly on a saturday night. Tony lukes has a parking lot and philly that south wont be TOO busy, but getting there could be a suck fest.

The drive actually wouldn't be that bad from the Art Museum to Tony Lukes. I wouldn't recommend driving through the city. I would take 676 onto 76 south and get off at exit 19 and you should be no more than 5min away.

Too bad I doubt I'll be able to make it anymore :???:
