OBC should just require the green connector. I have had some OBC where the keypads are dead. I have a spare one if you would be interested.

you need to remove the glass, certainly to install the headliner in the new car. Keep in mind the headliner is glued around the sunroof opening. Pulling the glass isn't too hard. Use flat head to carefully...
