any idea what this is worth? '95 525i

I was driving around on my lunch break yesterday and saw this out of the the corner of me eye, so i decided to stop and take a look.

didnt have too much time to check it out so i just gave it a quick once around from the outside.
-has an oil change sticker in the window dated earlier this year and 248,900mi
-body looks straight and clean sans for ~5-7 door dings and one small ding on the drivers fender (silver dollar sized above corner light)
    -no visible rust
-control arm and sway bar rubber seem to be in decent shape
-no major visible leaks except for a small PS ooze, from the 250k hoses i would assume. there was no fluid on the ground.
-tan interior. few cracks, no big tears or anything
    -autotragic

im sure i forgot a few things about the car but i plan on going back in the next day or two to actually talk to somebody and get under the hood to see whats going on there.. i dont know much about e34s except that ive wanted one since i was a kid so any tips/pointers on what makes a good one and a bad one would be appreciated.

    2-3k

Paid 3800 for my very very clean 125k mile 95 525i in orientblau (a rarer and IMO better looking color). That was two years ago I think.

I would agree, $2-3K seems to be about right.

With those miles I'd definitely stay closer to $2k. Those auto trans are prone to failure, so a 5 spd swap would be ideal. And of course the typical steering gear box and upper/lower control arm condition.

my dad had the same car since new from 1995 to 2010. He sold it to a NYC sanitation worker for $2500. I miss that car. Anyway, what state is this car in?

            This.

Dropped $1600 on my touring with a slipping reverse, wobble around 53mph, and a externally leaky HG (coolant) with 186k miles.

seems a little high just cause of the miles. I paid 1800 for my roached out automatic pile with 196k

i agree with orientblau being a nicer color. im usually not too picky on color though for some reason maybe its the bronzit DD

i cant drive anything without a clutch so a 5spd would be first on the list. could you elaborate on the steering box?

Least desirable color combo for e34, super high miles. That is an under $2000 car.

I would give $1100-1600, depending on condition of the wear items and service history. Definitely the least desirable (well, second-least after the M20 525i) E34, in a dated colour and with the wrong transmission.

I would take my M20/5 over an M50a any day...
