    Planning a 91 BMW 318is Rebuild

    All,

I am desperately trying to find a thread a thread that lists all the things you need to do to rebuild upgrade the 91 318is. I saw this thread from some guy in Ireland that lists all the instructions and things he has done to get the 318is rebuilt. Does anyone know of couple of posts or sites that list all the things that need to be done to the engine etc. Blame me for not bookmarking the damn page but there has to be a members ride page that collates all the things a new owner should plan on doing to a vehicle with a 160K on it.

I know it makes the diesel like clatter on cold mornings. I hate the accessory drive belt squeak when cold, changing the power steering racks, timing belts etc.

There are lots of M42 rebuild threads. Spend some time in the M42 section:http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/forumdisplay.php?f=144

Then when you get bored, register over at M42club and knock yourself out: http://www.m42club.com/forum/index.p...h7;wwwRedirect

lol. you are a noob, so we will give you a pass on this one.

as mentioned by jpod, start searching. there is more good info here than you can imagine. the forum has been in existence for over 12 years now. any question you could possibly think of has been asked already 300 times.

perhaps you can start a build thread in the project section.

welcome to the forum by the way....

+1 make a build thread and post every link you find to have them all in one place. Would help you keep track of your projects and help others as well

I would add that you will want to search about everything and learn as much as you can
