    H&R Sport vs. OE Sport?

I'm trying to decide between H&R Sport & OE Sport Springs. I have never had a lowered car so I think I may be happy with the 1" drop of the OE sports b/c my freshly sanded, primered, and painted front spoiler should be on the car soon and I'm afraid of scraping it.

Will I be less likely to need a camber kit with the OE Sports?

Also, the previous ower put new boge shocks on it. Should these be okay with either springs for a while until I can afford Bilsteins, or will they work better with one than the other?

That's a lot of questions, but anyone's experience in this area will help me greatly.
    Thanks,
    Matt

The drop the OE sports provide isn't going to need anything as far as camber correction goes.

You need to buy Bilstein sports. Boge is garbage.

You couldn't pay me to run either of the setups you want tho.

        Suggestions, then?

Then what setup would you suggest, and where is the best place to get it from?

Well, our opinions are going to be based on our wants/needs, not yours. Personally I love my GCs, and Jordan loves his Cup Kit. Look at those, but you're not going to have a "slight" drop when you install either of those suspensions. I suppose if you bought GCs and left them cranked all the way up, it'd be close to what you want, but that'd defeat the purpose of buying coilovers anyway.

Too low for him, H&R Sports are soggy as a sponge, and Bilstein Sports are likely too harsh for him.

I would prefer a nice, firm, sporty ride, I just use my car as a daily driver and don't want to worry about the front spoiler, oil pan, etc getting damaged.

Not all of us are ricers obsessed with super slammed ride height, some of us actually care about spring rates and handling.

Just wait until you see how high I can get my GC's this winter. 8)

I was merely stating that buying GC's and leaving them at their topmost height defeats the purpose of buying them. The point of having coilovers is to have the abililty to raise or lower the ride height of your car as you see fit, so why buy an adjustable suspension when you're not going to adjust it?

Have you thought about something like M3 springs w/o spring pads, Matt? That'd drop it a little (about .5-.75").

springs determine ride height, the threading is for corner balancing. Only the top of the line coilover setups allow you to adjust ride height without negatively affecting spring/shock travel

I say go with H&R sports and bilstiens.. they shouldn't be too harsh but your car will have a decent stance. and they'd hardly be softer than an H&R cup kit
